YOUTH PROGRAMS UPDATE 

Fall Youth Programs 

Starting September 9th we will be offering new outdoor youth programs. In addition Youth Nights will be returning which will be taking place indoors at Timms Community Center. See the Fall Youth Programs section below for more information on each program.

Fall Youth Programs - September 9th - October 10th

Youth Night is back! 

Fall programs will be running from September 9th to October 10th. This includes our most popular program, Youth Nights! Youth nights will take place indoors at Timms Community Center. All other programs will take place Outdoors at Douglas Park. In the event if inclement weather the Mad Science, Art in the Park and Teen Time programs will take place indoors at Douglas Park Recreation Center.

Mad Science

Free for all youth! No pass or Payment required

Let out your inner mad scientist and have a blast with our fun experiments. Rockets, Volcanoes and more! This program will be taking place outdoors, however in the event of inclement weather it will take place inside Douglas Recreation Center.

Art in the Park

Free for all youth! No pass or payment required

We are taking art outdoors. Let the outdoors inspire you to draw, paint and create wonderful pieces of art! This program will be taking place outdoors, however in the event of inclement weather it will take place inside Douglas Recreation Center.

Teen Time

Free for all youth! No pass or payment required required

Teen Time is back and better than ever! Hang out with your friends and do all the regular fun activities we do inside, outside! Make crafts, play games and have fun. This program will be taking place outdoors, however in the event of inclement weather it will take place inside Douglas Recreation Center.

Outdoor Sports

Free for all youth! No pass or payment required

Run, jump, sprint, shoot and wack with this outdoor sports drop in! We will be offering use of our outdoor sports spaces at Douglas Park for drop in sports. Play basketball, tennis, hockey, badminton, soccer and more with the fresh air to energize you. This program is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather this program may be cancelled. Outsiders

Free for all youth! No pass or payment required

Enjoy some fun in the sun! Meet up with Timms youth staff and head over to Douglas park to play various sports and games outside! Soccer, hockey, basketball, capture the flag and more are all part of the plan. This program is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather this program may be cancelled. Check our instagram page @langleycityyouth for updates.

Saturdays
September 12th - October 10th 
3:00pm-5:00pm
Meet at the Douglas Park Spirit Stage - 20550 Douglas Crescent 
Group will do activities at Douglas Park or walk to City Park 

Open to youth grades 6-12

Youth Night

Free for all youth! No pass or payment required

Youth Night is back! Timms Community Center will be available to youth only on Saturday nights. Hand out with friends and come join us for a night of fun! Video games, gym games, art crafts and more can be done during youth nights!

Doors open at 7:00pm and close at 7:45pm. No in and out privileges during the program time. A maximum of 25 youth are permitted on a first come, first serve basis.

Babysitter Training (11-16yrs)

BABYSITTER TRAINING (12-17yrs)- COED

Developed by the Canadian Safety Council, this course teaches the most up to date information concerning childcare and safety.  Course content includes:  basic first-aid, emergency procedures, safety, nutrition and responsibilities.  Learn tons of fun games and activities making you the most popular babysitter on the block!  Price includes manual and certificate (upon completion of the program).

Teen Pump (13-16yrs)

Teen Pump (13-16yrs)

Learn the safe and effective techniques in Weight Training for teens.  With proper guidance, youth will learn how to build strength, define their muscles and prevent injuries while using a variety of strength and cardio equipment.  Each participant will receive an individualized training plan based on their individual goals.  Youth who successfully complete the Teen Pump program will be permitted into the Timms Community Centre Weight Room without adult supervision.
