Notice of Construction - 203 Street Road, Bridge and Roundabout Project

As of August 15, 2016, road construction will commence on 203 St. from Grade Crescent to Michaud Crescent, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm. Local access will remain open to traffic and residents should drive with caution and obey traffic control personnel. During construction the trail under the 203 Street Nicomekl Bridge will be closed - signage has been placed to direct trail users to alternative routes.

Pile driving to seismically upgrade the existing bridge will last 4-6 weeks after commencing the bridge works.

The project will provide the residents and the community with significant benefits, such as:

  • Traffic calming and increased safety;
  • Improved pedestrian and cycling facility into the City’s downtown core;
  • Improved energy efficient street lighting;
  • Replacement of a traffic signal with a traffic roundabout at 53 Avenue.
  • Seismic upgrade and rehabilitation of 203 St bridge - extending bridges lifespan and reducing maintenance costs.

We thank you for your patience during construction.
